Courtroom Assistance Program
CAP provides a free attorney and free assistance to parents and guardians who have a situation involving a child and a qualified court hearing. This assistance extends only to a court hearing, not as legal representation throughout the entire case. The purpose of CAP is to ensure that parents and guardians have access to legal assistance during critical court hearings that impact the well-being of their children. This is also intended to help the court as much as the children and parties involved.
Our gratitude goes out to the Texas Attorney General's Child Support Division for providing the grant funding that made this program possible. We also thank Texas Legal Services Center for their assistance with this program.
If you have a court hearing involving visitation, custody, possession or access to your child, CAP may be able to connect you with an attorney who can represent or assist you during the hearing. CAP specializes in helping fathers, mothers, grandparents and guardians. Contact Us.
